Awayish LLC (“Awayish,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information when you visit our website, apply for MatchPass™, submit a rental application, or use any Awayish services.
By accessing Awayish or submitting personal information, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
We collect personal identification (name, email, phone, DOB, address, government ID, SSN where required), application & eligibility information (employment, income, household details, pets, rental preferences), and uploaded documents (ID, pay stubs, verification documents). Payment information is processed securely through Stripe; Awayish never stores full credit card numbers.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
Our website (hosted by Framer) collects IP address, browser type and version, device information, usage data, pages visited, and referring websites.
1.3 Cookies & tracking
We use cookies to improve website performance, save your preferences, and analyze traffic patterns. You can disable cookies anytime in your browser settings.
1.4 Information Received from Third Parties
CRS (Consumer Reporting Service) provides Awayish with full background screening reports, which may include credit reports, criminal history, eviction records, identity verification data, and other consumer report information. Awayish accesses these full reports solely within the secure CRS platform for the purpose of evaluation and generating the Awayish MatchPass™ summary.
Awayish does not download, store, or redistribute full credit reports. Landlords and property managers receive summary information only, not the full report.
Stripe provides payment status information (such as successful or failed transactions). Awayish never receives or stores full credit card numbers.
1.5 SMS & Phone Communication Privacy
Awayish may use phone calls or text messages to communicate with users who have opted in. We do not share, sell, or disclose SMS opt-in data, phone numbers, or consent information with third parties for marketing purposes or any other related use.
All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use your information to process MatchPass™ applications, submit screenings to CRS, generate summary reports, determine property matching eligibility, communicate with you, support Awayish operations, improve our platform, comply with legal requirements, and prevent fraud or misuse.
We do not sell or rent your information to third parties.
3. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION
3.1 Consumer Reporting Agency (CRS)
We share applicant information with CRS solely for screening, only when authorized by You as the "User."
3.2 Landlords / Property Managers
We share your summary report only after you express interest in a property and authorize the disclosure.
3.3 Service Providers
We share data with Cognito Forms (encrypted form + uploads), Framer (site hosting), Stripe (payments), Monday.com (non-PII CRM), and cloud security vendors.
3.4 Legal Compliance
We may disclose information with legal authorities to comply with laws or protect user safety.
4. HOW WE PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION
Awayish uses encrypted storage (via Cognito), encrypted transmission (TLS), role-based access, limited internal access, and automatic deletion policies. Awayish does not store SSNs, IDs, or sensitive documents on Framer or local servers. We do not store raw credit reports at any time.
While no online platform is 100% risk-free, we work continuously to maintain a secure environment.
5. DATA RETENTION
Sensitive application data is deleted after a defined retention window (typically 30–90 days). Summary reports that contain no PII may be retained for internal records.
6. YOUR RIGHTS
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may request access, correction, or deletion of your data. You may withdraw consent at any time. Screening data disputes must be directed to the reporting credit agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).
7. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
Awayish does not knowingly collect data from individuals under 18 years old. If you believe a minor has submitted data, please contact us immediately.
8. COOKIES & TRACKING
Our Wix-hosted website uses cookies for functionality, analytics, and security. Cookie preferences may be managed through your browser and WIX's banner tools.
9. THIRD-PARTY LINKS
Awayish is not responsible for external sites linked from our platform.
10. PROPERTY SUBMISSIONS AND LISTINGS
If you submit a property:
You agree that Awayish may publish listing photos, descriptions, and location details
You confirm that all submitted content belongs to you or you have permission to use it
We may request edits or remove listings that violate our standards
11. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of revised terms.
